Timothy (Tim) O’Healy
September 22, 1946 – June 11, 2024
After overcoming obstacles and health challenges, Timothy "Tim" O’Healy’s battle ended on June 11, 2024. He is survived by his beloved wife, Misty, three children – Colleen, Kevin and Conor, six grandchildren – Lucas, Lori Aíne, Allison, Gabriel, Ashley and Sean, and a large circle of family, friends, and community who cherished him.
Tim embraced life to its fullest, a philosophy he carried from his childhood in Burbank and La Jolla, through his service in the Marine Corps, and throughout his personal and professional endeavors. His kindness, generosity, and Irish sense of humor touched everyone he met, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him.
He loved the theater and spending time outdoors, whether gardening, barbecuing, or ‘working on his tan’. However, what he loved most were the times spent with family and friends, sharing food and laughter. Tim not only loved to tell stories but from his father he was also passed the ability to be a great storyteller. His words of wisdom and perspective were valued by many, and his gift was his ability to bring laughter and a smile at any time through his stories or sense of humor.
Deeply passionate about making the world a kinder, fairer and more just place, Tim became an activist and a dedicated advocate for veterans' issues, the environment and equality driven by his profound love for his family, community, and country.
