Janet King

Janet Pickett King was born to Eddie Mack Pickett and Otha Dean Dennis on June 28, 1946 in Finleyson, GA.

Janet went home to the Most High on January 3, 2025 at the age of 78. She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother, and dear friend to many. She was always there when needed most, offering support, wisdom, and love in abundance. Janet was an inspiration to many, everywhere she went she put a smile on so many faces and would light up any room. She had a love for children and was a teacher in Atlanta, GA and later in life became a volunteer teacher at her granddaughter Alana’s school where the children all called her Grandma Janet. She often shared her gift of singing and spent many years praising the Lord with her voice in her community and family holy day gatherings. She was devoted to the Most High and raised her children and family to follow in her footsteps of her unwavering faith in Christ. She is survived by her sons, Calvin Means, Ricky McIntyre, Jerry Means, and her daughter, Victoria Means, and her all of her wonderful grandchildren: Anthony Means, Patrick Means, Demetrius Means,Mahkyiah Means; Kahmani Means and Isaiah Means, Keanna Means, Haylie Means, Brittany Anderson, Jordan Means, Ciria Janet McIntyre, Mia McIntyre, Trinity McIntyre, Jeremiah McIntyre, Alana McIntyre, Nazari Zechariah Means, Ezra Zion Means and great grandchildren. Jayden Means, Dorian Goodin, Jaxson Goodin, Kyrie Redford, Keyani Redford, Kapri Redford, and Christian Meza, as well as her siblings: Johnny Mack Pickett, (Linda) Eddie Leon Pickett (Antoinette) Belinda Davis, Laverne Pickett Mayo, Geraldine Pickett, and Jenesse P. Mickens.

Our Matriarch is now home with our Heavenly Father and will forever be loved and missed
