It is with profound sadness that we mourn the passing of Cristobal “Cris” Sotomayor — a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend.
Cris was an artistic, funny, caring person who touched so many lives. Always the resident comedian, his “dad jokes” were unmatched; he lived to make everyone laugh — he lived to love.
Cris’ interests stretched far and wide. Always curious, Cris loved painting and creating art, spinning and collecting records, “Star Wars,” Bob Marley, The Grateful Dead, dancing, oceanography, and meticulously maintaining his collections of rare pins, watches, and sunglasses. He was a deep thinker, great conversationalist, and truly the life of the party.
Cris was also thoughtful and generous, and beloved by many for his big heart and smile.
We remember him with so much love and are grateful we got him for as long as we did. We know he’s at peace in Heaven with his dad, grandparents, and other loved ones. While he will be missed every single day by his loved ones on Earth, his energy and smile will live forever in our hearts — there’s simply no way to forget Cris.
Please join us in celebrating his life at the Care Center Cremation & Burial Chapel on Friday, Sept. 20, 1-3:30 p.m.
Bring a story or hug to share — Cris would love either.
